July 2004
The best part of July was flying home from San Diego via
New York to Johannesburg was to be with my dad who I missed
a lot. I played my last three tournaments with my mom as
my caddy. Luckily Shannon and her mom were with us which
made it easier. In the Callaway I was very unlucky as I
incurred (my dad's word) a two stroke penalty for picking
up my ball from a hazard instead of playing a provisional.
My mom was talking to the marshal when we made the mistake.
My mom and I were both upset by this and I could not recover
and shot a 69 against a 61 the first day. However this is
golf and we all make mistakes. The trip was fun but very
hard and I also bought myself a King Cobra Driver. I was
also fortunate to play at the famous Torrey Pines course
where we beat the pants of my mom's and Monica (Shannon's
mom.). Well, they wanted to challenge us. I also saw Shamu
